015 Saturday Matinee

OK this is a film I have been putting off watching because well I just didn't think it was going to be my thing. As a kid in the 90s I enjoyed watching wrestling on TV on a Saturday afternoon but I didn't really want to watch a film about an old washed up wrestler, that kind of has a similar appearance to triple H... look at my knowing the names of a "real" wrestler! Told you I watched it on Saturday afternoons but that was before I had a choice and it would usually be followed by Baywatch... traumatic childhood!

But this film was more than I thought it would be.... it was sweet and sensitive and even though the cover makes it look like a total guys film it really isn't. So for all you girls out there who have been putting off watching this with your other half's because you don't think it is your thing I would definitely say you should give it a go.

Micky Rourke plays the ageing wrestler "The Ram", who appears to have had a relatively successful career as a wrestler despite him living in a trailer and struggling to make ends meet now. But no one can wrestle forever?!?

Marisa Tomei as the love interest/stripper is AMAZING!! I had to go on IMDB to check out what age she is because she looked stunning! And played her character so amazingly well.

At the end of the film I had a little tear in my eye. So maybe if you haven't seen this yet you should consider a quiet night in on Valentines and rent/download the Wrestler and snuggle up on the sofa and watch this film.

Big blow out....

 I wasn't really sure how to follow a blog post on hair removal so I have played it quite safe and gone for a product review. This is an amazing product for application to damp hair just before blow drying to give smooth and shiny hair, it is the Tigi Catwalk Blow Out Balm. Which is a pretty accurate description for what this product does! What I was most delighted about was the tiny particles of glitter in the clear balm.... so pretty! And the smell is utterly amazing and lasts for a couple of days, it always gets commented on and not just by my Other Half... which yes is slightly weird thinking back on it but I will take any compliments I can get!

As with most blow drys the more care and time you take the better the results but this is a delightful shortcut for those early morning quick drys!
