003 This weeks happy list.....

1. Baking - There is something amazing therapeutic about measuring out the ingredients and mixing together in the right order, then there and the smells as it bakes and most importantly eating of the home baked treats!

2. Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier, my favourite book of all time!


3. Brothers Cider - pear/strawberry I'm not picky! it reminds me of long summer days.

4. Pizza - I am not supposed to or at least i try not to eat much wheat so if I eat pizza it has to be good and worth breaking the rules for.

5. Pancakes!!!!

My First Blog.... Tea!!!

I have earnestly contemplated what direction to take this blogg and decided that the best way forward is to only write about those things that bring a smile to my face. One thing that plays a massive part in my day to day happiness is Tea! Whether it be of the normal breakfast variety or something a little more exoctic I don't mind. They all provide the same feeling, as you hold that warm mug in your hands it melts away all the cares of the day and the smell just makes me want to curl up on the sofa with a great book. It doesn't matter if I am stuck and some dingy services or working at my desk all I have to do for a moment every day is close my eyes and drink.

The best cup of tea I have ever had was at the Laduree Cafe on the Champs Elysees, Paris. I left that Tea Salon floating on air after tasting their delightful own blend, it was so fragant and warm that it gave me goose bumps.

Truth be told though I don't have to be in fancy surrounding to enjoy a good cuppa, as long as it is black, no sugar then I am in heaven.
