Christmas is coming....

For some unbeknownest reason I am well excited about winter being just around the corner and christmas on its way. I have even gone as far as writing my christmas shopping list for other people and planning where I am going to be, which is utterly not like me. Usually come the end of November I might just have confirmed where I am going to be and I will never have done any christmas shopping!

My thinking is that I am in the mood due to the fact that Lush released their Christmas products at the beginning of the month, so I popped along and picked up a few product (which means I restocked my lush drawer) The christmas products I picked up are as follows:

Bath Ballistics:
- Cinders (this is so lovely doesn't leave a residue on your skin and smells of spices).
- White (Possibly my new fav ballistic, it leaves the skin so soft and smells of fresh apples)
- The Boogg

Bubble Bars:
- Christmas Eve

The other non christmas stuff I picked up:

Bath Ballistics:
- Twilight
- Honey Bee
- Butterball

Bubble Bars:
- Dorothy
- Flosty Gritter
- Pop in the bath

Bath Melts:
- mmm melting marshmallow moment
-You've been mangoed

Hair Conditioner/Treatment:
- H'Suan Wen Hua

Alot of the above have been reviewed before, but there is one product I wanted to talk about and that is the Twilight Bath Ballistic. It has recently been added to their range and is a little different from their other ballistics, firstly it seems to be twice the size that all the others and I think that is as a result of the two layers. The outside layer is pink and the inside is bright blue, when added to the bath water it fizzes down to give a purple hue to the bath water hence the Twilight name... not a reference to vampires! At that point the stars come out in the form of sparkly glitter, which is again different from the glitter used in some of their other products like Sunnyside Bubble Bar. The glitter is irridescent and quite course in comparison and it clings to your skin like a wet pair of jeans. After using Twilight in the bath before going to bed it wasn't until the next morning when I was rushing around getting ready for work that I notice quite how much glitter their was!!! I had to spend 10 mins with a disposable mascara wand getting the glitter off my face before I quickly slapped on my makeup. I am all for glitter but ther is a time and a place for it but I will definitely be re purchasing this ballistic but saving it for weekends.

I am slowly working my way through these, I don't expect to need to revisit until after christmas when hopefully I can pick up some good deals on all the left over christmas stuff.

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

In general my religious beliefs are all a little blasé but I am a strong believer in this old proverb. There is nothing I enjoy more than languishing in a nice hot bubble bath or taking a long hot shower. Which is probably why I spend so much of my life with my nose in bottles of bubble bath trying to decide if I should try them, which takes me very smoothly into my visit to Lush last Saturday. It is great going just after Christmas because they usually have great deals on their seasonal products. As usual I wasn't disappointed they had a nice little deal where if you spent £20 then you could get a free gift box or a mystery bag.

So I felt a little obliged to spend my hard earned money on some simple luxuries, here is my shopping list:

  1. RockStar Soap

  2. Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

  3. Cinders Bath Balistic

  4. Iridescent Glitterbug Massage Bar

  5. The Comforter Bubble Bar Slice

  6. Sunnyside Bubble Bar Slice

  7. Starmelt Bath Melt

Some of these products or new to me so once I have given them a go I will be able to blog about how good they where.

Another Item I bought which I was very excited about was the H'Suan Wen Hua, Hair Moisturiser, I tried it the minute I got home and can happily say it does exactly what it say on the tub. It is an intensively moisturising conditioner which you apply to your hair when dry before you was it and then you leave it in for twenty minutes before washing it out. It made my hair so soft and shiny and smelt deliciously of cinnamon (Yummy!)

Finally there are the freebies, which have now all but been used! The first was a Mr Butterball (actually there where two of these) which is a snowman shaped Bath Ballistic they disappeared quickly in the hot water and left my skin soft and smelling slightly of vanilla. Then there was lush Snowcake soap, which I am yet to try and I am not really sure that I like the scent. There was also two solid fragrances, The Comforter and American Cream, both are soft and relaxing. Finally the last product I got in the gift bag was a Puddy Holly Bath Bomb, which is supposed to smell like Christmas Pudding but all I can dwell on is the fact it turns my bath water brown, not something I particularly liked so I don't think I would repurchase that product.

Writing this has really put me in the mood for a bubble bath!!!
