A touch of pink....
No I am not going to review a lacoste perfume, but I am simply commenting on this weeks nail varnish choice. I went with a Barry M polish in Fuschia. Forgive the piccie I took it on my IPhone and modified it with Instagram to make it look more like the real colour. Also I hate my wrinkly hands so I was trying my best to disguise them!
I hope everyone has had a good Monday, today I started my training to get fit but I am going to do a seperate post on that.

Lions, and Tigers and Bears! Oh My!!
The Wizard of Oz is one of my favourite films of all time, the use of technicolour to suggest a they are not in Kansas anymore is such a wonderful technique which allows us to fully appreciate the glorious Ruby Slippers! Now my first pair of shoes where a pair of red Startrite sandles which inevitably put me on the slippery slope of loving red shoes for the rest of my life, but not every day is a red shoe day. Sometimes you just need to express that ruby sparkle in other ways... step in Barry M....
The colour is completely opaque and vibrant and sparkly that I got totally distracted by my nails. So far I haven't chipped any but it has only been 2 days. Comparing them to OPI glitter polishes I feel there is very little difference in the quality, application was easy, they dried very quickly just 10 mins of drying and i was good to go. The major plus is the cost at only £2.50 each I can happily splurge on 2 nail varnishes without feeling guilty.
Anyways I love them and the sparkle so prettily!!! Happy!
The colour on the left is Red Glitter which doesn't seem to be available on the Barry M website in the UK, and the colour on the right is Bright Red. I used both to create my ruby slippers nail of the day, with a bottom coat of the Bright Red and a top coat of the Red Glitter, resulting in.....

Just a quickie!
I just wanted to do a really quick haul post, please excuse the substandard images but I am using my eyephone for speed :-)
First up I got a couple of Barry M liners in colours 13 (bubble gum pink) and 2 (raspberry pink). I love how buying barrym always gives me the buzz of getting a bargain. Each pencil was £2.95 from superdrug and are of reasonable quality, although 13 is a little chalky on my highly pigmented lips.

My next pick up was some more Clean & Clear shine control wash (oil free). I have already used one whole bottle of this and I absolutely love it. It contains toner and cleanser all in one and makes my morning routine shorter but still thoroughly cleaning my face!

I also picked up the new sleek makeup: Circus eye palette. £5.99 for 12 vibrant colour, BARGAIN!
I will have to do a better post on this....

Lastly in boots I picked up Cliniques Almost Powder Makeup in medium. I had hit pan in my old one so it was just a quick rebuy. It was £20, and is a life saver in summer. Applied quickly in the morning on top of my moisturiser with a large fluffy, this product gives me great coverage evening out my skin and lasting all day!

I hope everyone has had a good Monday! But roll on the weekend!

You Scream, I scream, we all scream for ICECREAM!!!!
Well for the last two weeks I have been coating my finger nails in the sugary shades that Barry M have released for Spring 2010, and I need to let everyone know that I am really feeling the joys of spring! The sun has been shining for a while now and I have a slight tan which is complimented gorgeously by these sweet looking colours.
From Left to right there is Mint Green (304), Pale Blue (306), Berry Icecream (308) and Pale Pink (309). These are the names and numbers on the bottom of each of the bottles, however when you check the website (www.barrym.com) the blue shade is called Blueberry Icecream and the pink shade is Strawberry Icecream. The Pale blue shade is by far the easiest to apply and you could easily get away with one coat. Although because the name is different on the bottle from the new release and the formula seems so different from the others I am a little concerned that I picked up an old bottle. Not that it matters too much! It is a pretty colour, very bright and not too pale. Also I have received a couple of really nice comments from complete strangers on it!
The Pale Pink is my least favourite colour it is a very sickly pink and i just don't think it is completely me, but maybe it will grow on me.
The Berry Icecream is a beautiful colour and loads of different brands are producing similar versions of the shade this season. It is a delicate pale purple colour with requires 2 coats to give a nice glossy coverage, I like this one a lot.
This is by far my favourite shade of the moment! It is zingy, bright and looks great with a tan. It is a similar formula to the berry and requires 2 coats to give a nice coverage. The finish is glossy and long lasting, meaning it stayed on my fingers until i got bored with it or had time to change, which is usually 1 week!!! I can see me applying this shade time and time again and never relegating it to the back of my nail polish drawer!
All polishes where purchased at Boots for apprx £2.50 each, and they all (mostly) get a firm nod of approval. What is not to love when a product is so cheap and so wonderfully cheerful!
