boot - ilicious!!!!

Just been doing a bit of online window shopping for one thing in particular, a look-a-like to be precise!!! Since the Autumn I have been coveting these:

The Burberry Prorsum Shear Lined Avaitor boots and they are just gorgeous, but at £645 they where a little out of my price range. Then I spoted these delightful boots on le blog de betty under her december post shoe crush ....

Unfortunately by the time I had seen the post they seemed to be all but gone in New Look, which I was so dissappointed about as they where so affordable! But today I have found these....

They are from Next and can be found in their online store here for £75, I am quite excited to pop to Next tomorrow and try on a pair. I am not really a big heels person, don't get me wrong I do have lots of pairs because they are so pretty but for some reason I don't wear them that often, just for fear of being too tall!

But I have the most perfect military princess coat to wear with this style of boot and I think these will be perfect!! Also they will give the right amount of edginess to some girlie frocks when the weather warms up.

Guilty Pleasure of the Week!!

I am still stuck in the flat, haven't left here since last Wednesday when I was in hospital. Unfortunately I have exhausted all the desirable box sets I have been meaning to watch or re-watch and now I am stuck with what is on TV or On-Demand (i love this feature!!! best invention of the noughties by far!). This morning I made a hilarious discovery, something I am completely embarrassed to admit to anyone.....

BIG FAT GYPSY WEDDING... currently broadcasting on chanel 4 every Tuesday evening at 9pm. It is utter cringe-worthy trash that follows the gypsy culture of the UK in a documentary fashion, showing us their high moral code and a dress sense that would have made Anna Nicole Smith comparable to Kate Middleton. I love it!!!! well almost....

It would be one of the better TV shows around if it didn't premote a girls purpose as a homemaker and more horrifically the method of courtship between these high moralled travellers as nothing less than sexual assult! In each episode they follow the two most important days in a girls life their wedding day and their first communion. Now the wedding days are a little tragic, it is everything a girl dreams of but on steriods with a massive side of meringue.

But the most hilarious part is the first communion......

I have nothing against a culture expressing their religious views and I think the basic morals of how these kids are raised are relatively good in comparison to some. But look at this little girl, she is seven years old and wearing a pink net dress that weighs twice as much as she does!!! We all dream of having a princess dress when we are little but is this going a little too far??

Even though I have these views I am still going to be catching up with this program on a regular basis!!!

And life goes on.....

I have just spent the last week catching up on various peoples blog postings and youtube videos, I now realise how much I have missed in the last 4 months of being missing in action! There have been several MAC releases that have completely passed me by and loads of people seem to be using a collection 2000 mascara!!! Who would have predicted that! Anyway to help try and bring myself back into the world of the living I went to Boots yesterday and picked up the mascara, I've not tried it yet as I haven't applied makeup in weeks but it will be something nice to use when i go back to work in a couple of weeks.

Yeah I am still not back in work yet, been off since the second week in december after having been off ill for a number of periods prior to that. I am still not getting any better but my GP and consultant seem to be in agreement that I am presenting with a number of symptoms for something called Endometriosis. That is where the lining of your womb grows in lots of other places rather than in your womb causing unbearable pain, fatigue, leg pains, spots and well absolutely disgusting things that i shan't put any readers through! Anyway my real reason for going to Boots was to pick up a few things in preparation for me going into hospital on wednesday (scary!!!). I am in hospital for a Laparoscapy which should mean I am only in for one day where there cut a small hole in my stomach (by my bellybutton), inflate my abdomen with CO2 and then put a camera in to see what is going on in my tummy, if need be they cut another hole lower down like with a C-section this will allow them to remove any problem areas. So I bought some Bio Oil in Boots to help with the scarring that might be a result of the above. Anyway I shall let you know if it is required and if it works!

In 2011 I am going to start organising my life a little bit better, I have a wonderful boyfriend, flat and possibly job but if could all do with a little refinement.... save a little more money... progress my career further... get in shape..... and enjoy life!!!!
