Cleanliness is next to Godliness

In general my religious beliefs are all a little blasé but I am a strong believer in this old proverb. There is nothing I enjoy more than languishing in a nice hot bubble bath or taking a long hot shower. Which is probably why I spend so much of my life with my nose in bottles of bubble bath trying to decide if I should try them, which takes me very smoothly into my visit to Lush last Saturday. It is great going just after Christmas because they usually have great deals on their seasonal products. As usual I wasn't disappointed they had a nice little deal where if you spent £20 then you could get a free gift box or a mystery bag.

So I felt a little obliged to spend my hard earned money on some simple luxuries, here is my shopping list:

  1. RockStar Soap

  2. Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

  3. Cinders Bath Balistic

  4. Iridescent Glitterbug Massage Bar

  5. The Comforter Bubble Bar Slice

  6. Sunnyside Bubble Bar Slice

  7. Starmelt Bath Melt

Some of these products or new to me so once I have given them a go I will be able to blog about how good they where.

Another Item I bought which I was very excited about was the H'Suan Wen Hua, Hair Moisturiser, I tried it the minute I got home and can happily say it does exactly what it say on the tub. It is an intensively moisturising conditioner which you apply to your hair when dry before you was it and then you leave it in for twenty minutes before washing it out. It made my hair so soft and shiny and smelt deliciously of cinnamon (Yummy!)

Finally there are the freebies, which have now all but been used! The first was a Mr Butterball (actually there where two of these) which is a snowman shaped Bath Ballistic they disappeared quickly in the hot water and left my skin soft and smelling slightly of vanilla. Then there was lush Snowcake soap, which I am yet to try and I am not really sure that I like the scent. There was also two solid fragrances, The Comforter and American Cream, both are soft and relaxing. Finally the last product I got in the gift bag was a Puddy Holly Bath Bomb, which is supposed to smell like Christmas Pudding but all I can dwell on is the fact it turns my bath water brown, not something I particularly liked so I don't think I would repurchase that product.

Writing this has really put me in the mood for a bubble bath!!!

My First Blog.... Tea!!!

I have earnestly contemplated what direction to take this blogg and decided that the best way forward is to only write about those things that bring a smile to my face. One thing that plays a massive part in my day to day happiness is Tea! Whether it be of the normal breakfast variety or something a little more exoctic I don't mind. They all provide the same feeling, as you hold that warm mug in your hands it melts away all the cares of the day and the smell just makes me want to curl up on the sofa with a great book. It doesn't matter if I am stuck and some dingy services or working at my desk all I have to do for a moment every day is close my eyes and drink.

The best cup of tea I have ever had was at the Laduree Cafe on the Champs Elysees, Paris. I left that Tea Salon floating on air after tasting their delightful own blend, it was so fragant and warm that it gave me goose bumps.

Truth be told though I don't have to be in fancy surrounding to enjoy a good cuppa, as long as it is black, no sugar then I am in heaven.
